Excitement building!

I'm super excited for classes to start. I don't think I've been this excited since I was a freshman (WAY back in the day)  I have my supplies somewhat organized, I need to do some cleaning and organizing in my room-to make a more effective study area.

I have my list of books from the university website, so I can go get those sometime as well.

I made a weekly schedule so I have certain times throughout each day devoted to studying.  I've never done that before, and I think that will be a great help in staying on top of the workload.  I'm planning on only working weekends-so I have much more time during the week.  I've never worked only weekends before, I've always had availability during the week, and I think it hurt me, because I felt like I didn't want to do homework during breaks in classes, because then I had to work at night and I would get no "free" time.  So I put my availability for only the weekends-I hope it gets approved.  I will check the computer system at work tonight.

I'm also excited for the fall weather!  I'm definitely ready to be done with this horrid heat and especially the humidity.  I want to wear skirts and tights and scarves and hats.

I have also come to the conclusion that I am the opposite of molasses; I move slower in summertime because of the heat-and I have less motivation to do things, because I don't want to get even more sticky than I am just sitting down.

Today it was quite warm here-it almost makes me miss the 45 that we had last week...Especially at night when I just want to snuggle under my covers.  But I'm warm just sitting here.

I'm attempting to make a tank top out of some fabric my mom gave me.  I had one that was starting to wear out so I cut it apart to make a "pattern" of sorts-so I'm working on that right now-feeling kinda tired-the sun will do that to you when you are out in it for several hours.

I will post pictures once I get it done!  (I will post whether it works-aka fits- or not)

Day 3 of the challenge!

Today I am wearing this denim pencil skirt with leggings cause it's a little on the chillier side.  And a bubble tank from Old Navy-I love bubble tanks, they are so comfy and flattering on my body type.

And the ballet flats I got at Payless several years ago-it's probably time I get a new pair. I wear them all the time.

Today I'm just wearing my hair down and letting it air dry-so it will be nice and wavy.

I have class from 1-4 today, but I have to go early to finish a paper.  Then I am going home to surprise my parents, since I haven't been home in awhile.  And since I can't be home for Mother's Day, I will bring my mom's gift home today.  I'm super excited!

Here is my outfit for Day 2 of the Feelin' Feminine Challenge!

The top I can't remember where I got it.

I got the skirt at Old Navy as part of my birthday gift from my parents.  The leggings came from Walmart.

My hair is just kinda thrown up into a messy bun.

Today I have some errands to run, going to a fair for school.  Then I have Bible Study tonight at 6!

My friend Julie came over and we made Oreo truffles.  We had planned on making them last night, but we ran out of time after the Fairy Tale Ball meeting and dinner, so we made them this morning. They turned out really yummy, and very chocolatey!

One of my favorite things!

This is the cupcake apron that my lovely friend Amanda gave me for my birthday one year, I love it so much!

Modest Fashion

Here are some cute things I've found by searching on Google images.

So today after work I bought 3 sweater-skirts (one black, one grey, and one purple/fuschia) and I also now have a pair of black cable knit tights and a pair of ivory cable knit tights. I tried on the skirt and I just LOVED it!! And with it being sweater material and then the thick tights...it should be decently warm for the winter. I'm actually kind of excited for Monday to wear them to class.

I got good news at work! I got Christmas Eve off of work, as well as the 23rd after 4:00 off. Also, I got December 5th and 6th off for Dad's side Christmas and Olde Fashioned Christmas. Now I just need to try and work out to be able to go to Mom's side Christmas.

Ugh, but I have a headache now, so I'm going to go.

So, I've really been considering wearing only skirts. I really want to be more modest and feminine. While searching for different ways to wear long and modest skirts, I came across a site for another woman's blog and she is an "Empowered Traditionalist" I really like that "title" of sorts. Even though I don't agree with everything that is said on there, overall I like it.

Here is a website of a woman who has VERY cute and fun MODEST clothes-unfortunately, being a little on the broke side right now, they are out of my price range. But overall they are not any more expensive than many clothes you see at stores now-but at the same time you are actually getting much more material for your money-because lots of stores charge the same prices for more revealing clothes with less fabric and coverage.
